Profile of the typical pegging enthusiast

What does the typical pegging enthusiast look like?  Well, that's the thing, there is no such thing. Many believe it's an activity confined to dominant/submissive relationships. When they hear the term 'pegging' or 'strap-on sex' they immediately think of a dominatrix dressed in leather wielding a whip.

Now strap-on dildos have been a popular choice in female superior relationships and play for a long time, but they have their place in 'vanilla' relationships as well. 

Pegging is more popular than ever, and it seems to be growing. A quick search of the Internet will bring up dozens of websites, articles and blogs that discuss pegging. (Hello!). More importantly, these are not simply the average porn sites. These sites and articles are often educational, amateur and reality based. You will find real couples discussing and engaging in pegging. No scripts or scenes in a poorly designed dungeon. 

Now don't get me wrong, there are many awesome professional strapon sites. Strapondreamer produces some very hot, non-domination films. Of course there's nothing wrong with good old fashioned BDSM featuring a strong Dominant woman. But pegging has moved beyond that stereotype. It's no longer confined to the dungeon or added to a porn video for shock value. You can find it everywhere, from college dorms to average suburban homes. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much scientific data available on how many man enjoy pegging. But if the interest in picture blogs, video sites and erotic story archives mean anything, I think it's safe to say that interest is growing.
